I really appreciated the collaborative opportunity we were given during our last class session. Being able to brainstorm with peers was very beneficial; we were able to bounce ideas around for our next writing activity. Even though I started my paper, I was able to fine tune and share my thoughts with my peers. Based on my Myers- Briggs, I enjoy the social aspect of working with others to complete a task. When starting a writing assignment alone I tend to spend too much time pondering on what direction I should take with my paper. I believe more opportunities should be given to collaborate with peers for various assignments. Writing a scholarly paper is so much different from my everyday writing.
Although, the second assignment and companion activity reassured me of my ability to write, I need to continue to write in a clear and concise manner. The transition words and phrases document we were given will assist me in making sure my writing flows and keeps my audience’s attention. I can defiantly see the difference between my first and second paper. The writing journey continues!!!
